Photography

I had been driving by this abandoned house for nearly 25 years. It occurred to me one day to stop and take a picture because it would soon be destroyed by the tree that was growing from it’s center then gradually swallowed whole by everything green that grew around it. This was the house that started my quest to photograph abandoned homes along the South Carolina back roads.

So many stories that no one will ever know except the ghosts that still linger there.

Looking at this picture now I wonder whatever happened to her.
